“Nothing is lost, everything is transformed”
What if you kept the peels of your potato instead of throwing them all? In order to have tasty potato skin chips, they need to contain a bit of potato flesh, so just leave your usual peeler and use a normal sharp knife to obtain thicker peels. The rest is finger in the nose.
- thick potato peels (with some potato flesh on it)
- olive oil
- seasoning to taste (we used unpeeled garlic cloves, thyme, oregano, rosemary, salt, chili flakes)
- clean baking sheet
Preheat your oven to 210°C.
Wash and rince your potato peels. Dry them completely.
Place them in a baking sheet. Drizzle some olive oil on top of it and add seasoning to taste. Toss so that the peels are thoroughly coated.
Put in oven for 20/30 minutes until the chips are golden. Don’t forget to mix them from time to time for similar coloration.
Take them out and enjoy them as they are or with a sauce of your choice (ketchup, curry, sour cream with chives etc).
And the best thing is : you can do it with a lot of other vegetables peels : carrots, apples, tomatoes etc etc!
