In this recipe, you will not only find easy to follow instructions to make a Pizza dough but you will also have the chance to try out this tasty combination of a hearty blood sausage (almost every culture has its own) with sweet caramelized pears. And if you’re not a big fan of Blood Sausage, just use the Pizza Dough and cover it with whatever you like! But I guarantee you that this toppings are worth a try : you definitely never tasted anything like this Blood Sausage and Pear Pizza before!
INGREDIENTS FOR THE PIZZA DOUGH
- 1kg flour
- 500 ml lukewarm water
- 1 cube fresh yeast
- 8 tbsp olive oil
- salt
TOPPINGS FOR THE BLOOD SAUSAGE AND PEAR PIZZA
- A sliced blood sausage of your taste
- 2-3 sliced pears
- some Blue Cheese
- a hand of pine nuts
HOW TO MAKE A PIZZA DOUGH
Give the flour into a bowl and make a well in the middle.
Crumble the yeast and add it in the well, as well as some salt. Pour then the oil and the water.
Knead with flour-dusted hands until you obtain a smooth and springy dough.
Place your dough in a bowl, sprinkle a bit of flour on the top and leave it to rest in a warm room for at least 30 minutes. The dough will double in size.
Place your dough on a flour-dusted surface and roll it into rough circles about 0.5 to 1cm thick.
You can then top it with a tomato base, your sliced bloodsausage and pears, crumble some blue cheese on top of it and add some pine nuts.
Put it in a 250C pre-heated oven for about 10 minutes and enjoy!
